Sahaj Path is a rural preschool designed to provide complete care and education for disadvantaged populations of Bolpur, Santiniketan. The preschool was founded on 8th December 2012, and it was a dream project of Shree Jay Ram Naskar, who hoped to create a space where education would catalyze change. Heritage of the ideologies of simple and open design, it is aptly coined ‘Sahaj Path’ – translating to ‘easy learning’, in Bengali.
Every year, Sahaj Path admits 50 to 60 children from nearby villages. Such children who come from poor families have a safe place to learn in school. What further differentiates Sahaj Path from others is its dedication to the physical, social, and mental well-being of every child.
